Hey, I’m Joseph.

I’m a Gen Xer exploring how useful knowledge can become digital assets and income beyond the paycheck. I’ve also been thinking about how I want to spend the years ahead.

Losing people I love has made that question harder to leave for later. There are things I still want to make, things I want to understand, and parts of what I’ve learned that I want to pass on. I’m giving those things more attention now.

Money belongs in that conversation. So do faith, family, and the freedom to decide what gets the best of me. I want to build income beyond the paycheck because having more options could change how I spend my time and what I’m able to do for the people I care about.

Perhaps you’re thinking about some of this too.

You’ve spent years working, learning, and doing what needed to be done. Now you’re looking ahead and wondering whether the life you’re working toward is still the one you want. Whether you’ll have enough. Whether there’s something of your own you could begin building while there’s time to develop it.

Those questions are part of why I’m here.

I’m a Gen Xer. I remember life before being online became part of nearly everything we do. We’ve watched the internet change how people work, learn, buy, and build businesses. Now AI is changing what people can create and how quickly they can create it.

There’s a lot to be curious about. There’s also a reasonable question underneath the excitement: where do we fit in what comes next?

You can see the possibilities and still wonder about your own future. Another useful tool doesn’t settle the question of whether you’ll be able to stop working when you want to. An easier way to publish doesn’t automatically give you something people want to buy.

But I also see an opening worth exploring.

We have ways to record an explanation, publish what we know, build a useful resource, and reach people who might need it. Some of that work can become a product. Some can help someone choose a tool or service. Some deserves to exist because our families might want it one day.

I want to find out what I can build with those possibilities, and share enough of the work that you can consider what they might mean for you.

What could your experience make possible?

I’m especially interested in the knowledge we use so often that we stop noticing it. The problem we recognize before someone else does. The explanation that finally helps another person understand. The process we’ve improved through years of doing it.

AI gives us more ways to shape and share that knowledge. We still have to choose a worthwhile problem, check what we produce, and discover whether it helps the person we had in mind. I want to show those decisions as I make them, along with what happens when the work reaches someone else.

That’s where I’m beginning.

Scripture is my foundation. Cultivator is the name I’ve given to the way I think about developing what we’ve been entrusted with. For me, that includes our knowledge and abilities, our relationships, and the time we still have to do something with them.

This site is where I’m bringing that work together. The Cultivator’s Journal will hold the ideas, experiments, and discoveries as they develop. You’ll find practical work on digital assets and recurring income alongside questions about purpose, responsibility, and what we want to leave behind.

Bring a possibility of your own.

If you’d like to continue with me, join the free Cultivator Chronicles. Begin with The Hidden Trade Field Guide and a practical exercise to help you make room for what you want to build.

Then, through my weekly letters, I’ll share the recurring income models I’m using, what I’m creating, and what I’m learning about publishing and selling. Related Journal entries will give you somewhere to explore further when a question catches your attention.

You may have something in mind already. Or you may just recognize the feeling that there’s more you want to do with what you know.

I’d be glad to have you along.

Joseph
